Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SB News (sbnews.us) handles when you visit, and why.

What we don't do

SB News has no user accounts, no advertising trackers and no cross-site tracking profiles. We never sell or rent personal information.

What our servers record

Like every website, our servers receive technical data with each request, such as the page requested, the time, your browser type and an IP address. We use it only to run the site, protect it against abuse and fix errors. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.

What is stored in your browser

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. The contact form sets a security cookie that protects it against forged submissions. Neither is used to identify you.

The contact form

When you write to us, we receive your name, email address and message, and keep them only as long as we need to reply and follow up. A one-way hash of your IP address is stored with the message to help us fight spam.

Third parties

Team and league logos and player photos are loaded from our sports data provider's image servers. News images are stored on our own servers. Links to other websites, including share links, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, through our contact page.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change. The date of the latest revision is shown below.
