2027 World Series odds: Yankees lead chase behind Dodgers and Brewers

The first 2027 World Series market sets up a familiar heavyweight chase behind the Dodgers and newly crowned Brewers. The Yankees sit third, while several contenders are packed tightly behind them.

Milwaukee Brewers players celebrating after winning the World Series as 2027 title odds are released

The 2027 World Series odds, listed as of Oct. 28 at DraftKings Sportsbook, have the Dodgers at +310 and the Brewers at +500 after Milwaukee won its first World Series title in franchise history. Behind them, the Yankees open as the leading challenger in a market that quickly becomes crowded with former contenders and playoff-caliber clubs.

Milwaukee’s championship run gives the board its immediate context, but the early numbers also show how tightly the next group is priced. The Yankees, Red Sox, Mariners, Phillies and Rays all sit within the first seven spots of the early Fall Classic market.

Yankees sit first among the pursuers

The Yankees are third on the board at +700, placing them behind only the Dodgers and Brewers. The Red Sox follow at +1100, creating an early American League East presence near the top of the market.

The next step down includes two teams at +1800: the Mariners and Phillies. That pairing highlights how quickly the odds shift after the first four teams, with a notable gap between Boston and the next group.

The Rays are listed at +2200 and are tied for seventh. That position comes after Tampa Bay reached the World Series before losing to Milwaukee in five games.

Early 2027 World Series odds board

The full oddsboard places the Dodgers first, the Brewers second and the Yankees third. Milwaukee’s position reflects its title run, while Los Angeles remains the top-priced team despite being swept by the Brewers in the NLCS.

  • Dodgers: +310
  • Brewers: +500
  • Yankees: +700
  • Red Sox: +1100
  • Mariners: +1800
  • Phillies: +1800
  • Rays: +2200
  • Mets: +2200
  • Padres: +2500
  • Guardians: +2500
  • Cubs: +2500
  • Braves: +2500
  • Pirates: +3000
  • White Sox: +3000

The middle of the board continues with the Rangers and Tigers at +3500, followed by the Blue Jays, Marlins and Astros at +4000. The Twins and Orioles are both listed at +5000.

Further down, the Diamondbacks are +6500 and the Nationals are +7500. The Cardinals and Royals are +9000, the Athletics are +10000, the Reds are +15000, the Giants and Angels are +20000, and the Rockies are +50000.

Brewers’ title path shapes the market

The Brewers played 13 postseason games and won 11 of them on the way to the franchise’s first World Series championship. In the Wild Card era, which began in 1995, Milwaukee became just the fifth team to lose two or fewer playoff games and still win the World Series.

Their only two postseason losses were both by 4-3 scores. Milwaukee lost to the Padres in Game 3 of the divisional round, then lost to the Rays in extra innings in Game 4 of the World Series.

The Brewers finished off San Diego in four games, swept the two-time defending champion Dodgers in the NLCS, and beat the Rays in the World Series in five. That combination of efficiency and opponent quality helps explain why Milwaukee is second on the oddsboard rather than buried among the defending champion caution cases.

What comes next

The opening market leaves two clear storylines entering the next championship cycle: whether the Brewers can turn a dominant postseason into a repeat push, and whether the Dodgers can convert their top price into a return to the Fall Classic. The Yankees, Red Sox, Mariners, Phillies and Rays form the first chasing group as attention turns from Milwaukee’s title to the 2027 race.
